Nolow's Spotlight: Hard Fabric debuts "The Best Part of Being Young, The Worst Part of Growing Up!"
Hard Fabric has just released their debut album, The Best Part of Being Young, The Worst Part of Growing Up! This folk punk collective is the brainchild of Brendan Roberts. Brendan’s basic song structure stands out due to his lyrical content, and this brings listeners in with relatable experiences and emotional content. From missing friends, to watching them self-destruct and social commentary, Brendan leaves no stone unturned with his lyrics. Hard Fabric became a cornerstone of the Statesboro DIY scene with acoustic kickbacks at Brendan’s home and hosting open mic nights to give aspiring artists a chance to let their music be heard. On the new release, Brendan is joined by other Statesboro artists to create a concept record that hits audiences right in the heart. It was my pleasure to have Brendan on my show, Nolow’s Spotlight, where we discussed the album, the evolution of Hard Fabric and the difference between live shows and recording. You can listen to the full interview in the video above. With Brendan’s upcoming move to Atlanta for school, audiences looking for a good time and an amazing personal experience should not miss out on the chance to catch Hard Fabric live.
